Paintbox Hat

I'm knitting a hat for Jake, but I wanted to try it on for myself.

It looks like a painting, so Paintbox Hat is an appropriate name.  I'll take this and my sock to Lake of Egypt this weekend.  I'll probably be too busy to work on either, but one should never leave home without any knitting.

Kristi, that hat looks awesome! :D Can't wait to see it in person in a few months... I owe you some e-mails, but it looks like your summer has been pretty fun (glad you got to go to a fiber festival after all). :) Did you find some mary jane shoes yet? I love that style (pairs nice with cute socks!) so we'll have to rock some MJs at MAGFest together.

and omg!! I want to watch this new anime called Element Hunters -- supposedly it was created to help kids learn all about the elements and chemistry in general, so... sounds like the perfect show for us, right? <3
