Hello!  My name is Kristi, but I also go by ScienceKnitGirl on Ravelry.  Long story. 

I will be 31 years old as of February 6, 2010.  My goal is to obtain a college degree in chemistry or some other science field and to successfully boil water without the smoke alarm going off.  I live in southern California with my husband Jake and Nugget, our puggle.

I am a self taught knitter of five years.  My mother-in-law taught me the basics of crochet, but so far I have crocheted most of an amigurumi duck and toyed around with doilies.

I'm still on the lookout for local knitting shops in the area.  Unfortunately, many have closed in the Santa Clarita Valley.  The search continues.

As of the beginning of 2010, I am waiting on a response from California State Northridge.  Hopefully I can continue my education this fall.
